Discover the Legacy of the Ancient City Of Maharashtra with Ginger!

The government named Aurangabad the tourism capital of Maharashtra back in 2010. It is a well-known tourist destination that welcomes travelers with a carefully woven tapestry of sights and sounds. The city received its name since it served as the former capital of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in the seventeenth century. The town serves as the starting point for tours of the well-known caverns of Ajanta and Ellora, the fortified Daulatabad, known for its effective defenses, the architecturally significant Mausoleums of Aurangzeb and Bibi-Ka-Maqbara, and the Grishneshwar Temple. Aurangabad offers all visitors an exhilarating vacation experience, from UNESCO World Heritage Sites to bustling markets loaded with beautiful silk products and gorgeous hand-woven clothing.

The Ajanta and Ellora Caves are by far Aurangabad's most well-known tourist destination. The Ajanta Caverns, which have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, have 29 separate caves, all of which exhibit Buddhist art from between 200 B.C. and 650 A.D. Buddhist monks meticulously crafted each mural and sculpture in the caves using only basic tools like chisels and hammers. These sculptures and paintings depict a wide variety of tales, ranging from the interesting legends of ancient nymphs and princesses to the Jataka Tales. A short distance from the Ajanta Chambers, the Ellora Caves contain a total of 34 caves and sculptures and paintings that represent not one, but three separate religions: Jainism, Buddhism, and Hinduism.

Bibi ka Maqbara, a tomb honoring Rabia-ul-Daurani, the wife of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, is the only surviving specimen of Mughal architecture in this region of the nation. The main structure of Bibi ka Maqbara, which was created by the Persian architect Ustad-Ata-Ullah, is surrounded on all four sides by four imposing minarets, similar to the Taj Mahal. Sunrises and sunsets are magnificent, with the sun's rays artfully reflecting the mausoleum on the water of the canal in front of the building. The entire structure is a sight to behold. Temples like the Bhadra Maruti Temple and the Jyothirlinga Grishneshwar Temple, both of which have their own myths and legends, can be found hotels in Aurangabad.

Explore Maharashtra's ancient city! The top hotel in the area is Ginger Hotel Aurangabad. The hotel includes 63 well-decorated rooms with Twin or King beds as well as a multi-cuisine restaurant and a 24-hour fitness center.
