Into the Pilgrimage of Mata Vaishno Devi

Located in the Trikuta Mountains in the Himalayas is Katra, the most popular pilgrimage in India. Millions of devotees visit this shrine every year for Vaishno Devi, 1560 m above sea level to visit the holy temple of Mata Vaishno Devi.

Mata Vaishno is the manifestation of India Goddess Durga, commonly referred to as Maa Durga or Mata Rani. It is believed that Mata Rani comes to the caves of Vaishno Devi during aarti and prayer offerings. The pilgrims believe it's not them who have come here to pray, instead, Mata Rani has itself called that devotee to visit this place. The strong belief makes them come to pray in this shrine.
To reach this Shrine and take the blessings of Mata Rani they have to walk up the hill and walk around 13 Km uphill to visit this place of 108 Shakti Peetha. The different services to reach this place is through a helicopter which is the fastest medium and drops the devotees to Sanjhi Chhat, the top point of Vaishno Devi. From this point, the devotees can head down to Bhaironath Ka Mandir till Ardh Kuwari.
