• Indian’ is a language: It is the most common misconception tourists have while visiting India. Unlike English, spoken in England or French in France or Russian in Russia, Indian is not a language. If you want to learn a language to start with, Hindi would be best as it’s spoken in almost every part of the country.

• India is packed with tourists: When we see pictures of places in India with crowds, we assume that India is always filled with tourists and is crowded. However, if you travel there you will find out that there are more locals in the country than the crowd of tourists.
• India is a dirty and poor country: India is a third world developing country. Most movies and articles depict the slums in India and generalizing the total country dirty and poor judging by these is totally wrong. There are a lot of lavish accommodations in Indore, which will prove your misconception to be wrong.
